VINTAGE BISTRO – The Main Areas of the Concept Value the Region & make money • This Bistro will be placed in the downtown of Cluj-Napoca and is going to have Transylvanianfood, served in a warm and old style environment • The Bistro will be a place where will be served classic local dishes and drinks (Romanian, Hungarian, German) in the “slow food” manner. The ingredients – vegetables, fruits, milk/cheese and meat – will be bought from the country sides nearby Cluj-Napoca. They are famous for the good quality of the products (especially Jucu area). • This region is visited by more and more European, Asian and American tourists and it is very appreciated Value the People & make money • The Bistro’s team will be formed by people with the age of 45+ to 70 (unemployed or retired) & people with disabilities - two disadvantaged categories considering many aspects • The project has certain plans to train each of them for the job positions they can easily occupy taking into account their personal conditions /abilities / basic know-how • It provides these categories of people the possibility to socialize, have fun, earn money, make themselves useful! Value the History & make money • Transylvania is a wonderful land, full of history and culture • Many touristic agents already present Transylvania with all its beauty and heritage of its cities and country sides. • The real Transylvania doesn’t mean (only) Dracula legend, but ancient proofs of civilization, Christianity, medieval castles, fortified churches, old traditions for the main holidays and many more • It also means grandma’s delicious food and sweets recipes and ways of serving them in a friendly atmosphere

VINTAGE BISTRO – Development Steps (after setting the accurate business plan) • Obtain funds for the investment • Settle the exact location (Cluj-Napoca old city center) & equip it with all necessary electronics/cooking instruments • Obtain the authorizations needed by this kind of business • Employment and training of the stuff • Set the menu & entertaining activities • Set the loyalty system for the customers and the local partners (cultural, sports institutions etc) • Promote the business on several channels (on-line / off-line) • Start to work and continue working in the most responsible way + obtaining the expected results • (After growing the current business) extending it with : - a catering service – office & home delivery of Vintage Bistro’s products and cooked food - new Vintage Bistros in other several cities in Transylvania

VINTAGE BISTRO – FACTS Social and employment benefits • Integration of people with disabilities • Integration of the unemployed people over 45+ and older ones (retirees and retiring) • Multiculturalism – focus on the local Romanian, Hungarian, German traditions • Regional promotion – touristic attractions Innovation/creativity • Promotion of the healthy food cooked from the ingredients that are produces by the local people from the country side near Cluj-Napoca Transferable business • After reaching the expected notoriety and profit it can be planned the opening of a network of similar Bistros in other cities: Sibiu, Brasov, Alba-Iulia, Tirgu-Mures, Timisoara and then in other regions of Romania • In the southern region it would be interesting to bring together the Romanian culture and food tradition with the Turkish and Bulgarian ones • The same idea may be applied in any other country, especially in strong historical and cultural regions.
