  2. Student Performance Calculation All teachers’ evaluations must be determined, through calculation, using 50% Student Growth Data (State law) Student Matrices were developed for each teacher profile so that each teacher’s student performance data was relevant to their assignment.

So, with the VAM rating calculated… • As per state law, if a teacher receives a VAM, it must be used for, at least, 40% of their overall evaluation score and, therefore, 80% of the student performance calculation. • It is inserted into the calculation for the Student Performance portion of the Evaluation
