Homonyms. Homonyms are words that sound the same but are spelled different and have different meanings. To, Two, and Too are all homonyms. These words are all pronounced the same but all have a different meaning. To means: in the direction of “I was walking to the store”.

  2. Homonyms are words that sound the same but are spelled different and have different meanings.

  3. To, Two, and Too are all homonyms These words are all pronounced the same but all have a different meaning. To means: in the direction of “I was walking to the store”. Two means: more than one, second in a series “ I ate two chocolate chip cookies for dessert”. Too means: also “My sister had a chocolate chip cookie and I wanted one too”.

  4. Homonyms You Practice… Write the correct word on your desk The yoke/yolk of the egg was cooked. My aunt loves her new fir/fur coat. The pale/pail was full of water. Emma is going to write/right a letter to Grandma tonight. The rabbit ran into his hole/whole. I paid the bus fare/fair yesterday. I rode the Farris Wheel at the Johnson County fair/fare. A synonym for rabbit is hair/hare. We flew to Florida on a huge air plane/plain.
