  5. Poor children There are just under four million children under the age of 18 in Romania. According to the United Nations about 32,000 children under the age of 14 are involved in child labour. The children of Romania have been affected by the recent economic, social and political changes. As parents have struggled to find employment, there has been an increase in poverty. Children living in these families sometimes face precarious situations such as labour exploitation, violence, and domestic violence. Many are ultimately taken into care.

  8. Poverty Many children are forced by their parents to steal or to stay on the streetsandbeg money or food. Thesechildren stay in cold with ripped clothes without slippers!😟

  9. How do children perceive poverty? Poverty deprives children of educational opportunities, access to health services and healthy eating, adequate living and living conditions, family support and protection against violence.

  18. Children ask thesequestions: How could something this unfair happen? How can I go on if I will never get to see this person again? Who wants to live in a world where this can occur? What’s going to become of our family now that this person is gone?

  19. Death is irreversible. In cartoons, television shows and movies, children see characters “die” and then come back to life. In real life, this is not going to happen.

  20. Children often need extra support and attention for a period of time. Children may worry that both parents will die and leave them alone. At these times, children may find comfort in knowing that, even if this highly unlikely event occurred, the family has a plan about who would take care of them.
