  2. What is eBenefitsNow? • BCBSNC’s electronic enrollment and eligibility system • Available to all groups with 25 or more enrollees • Web-based – all you need is Internet access • HIPAA-compliant • Great HR tools • Fast, easy and accurate • It’s free!

  3. Features of eBenefitsNow • Two interfaces (or Roles) • Group Administrator Role • Employee Role • Built around your plan rules and provisions • Custom categories • Reporting (Excel, PDF and CSV)

  4. Let’s take a look at the Group Administrator Role in the application . . .

  5. The Employee Role: Setting Up A New Employee’s Login ID and Password

  6. Complete the basic info, such as name and address. A login ID and password will be generated for the employee.

  7. Now that we have a login ID and password, let’s take a look at the employee side of eBenefitsNow.

  8. The employee logs in to eBenefitsNow with their login ID and password.

  9. The employee will be asked to change their password.

  10. Click here to complete enrollment.

  11. Employees begin with the Medical elections.

  12. eBenefitsNow will let the employee know what to expect for each section. Choices are displayed to the employee via a one-thought-per screen format.

  13. eBenefitsNow displays the Best Plan as well as the plan most similar to the current year’s plan. Employees can also choose a customized plan.

  14. The plans can be configured simply by clicking different combinations of contribution amounts.

  15. The employee can see exactly what their paycheck deduction would be based upon their choices.

  16. The employee is able to review all their choices and edit them via this summary which appears at the end of the elections.

  17. Once all elections have been made, a summary can be printed for the employee’s records.

  18. Once the employee has printed or saved a copy for their records, they can logout of eBenefitsNow.
