It is estimated that annually are carried for two million women. Ablation cancels women's sexuality.

  8. PROBLEM *The effects of ablation are the excruciating pain, chronic pain, problems during labor and unsatisfactory sexual relations, even the death of the victim. *Loss of self esteem, fears, depression, inappropriate behavior, in short, deterioration in health.

POSSIBILITIES *Promote a process of change has to be materialized and supplemented by all kinds of measures: legislative, judicial, and educational resources. *Education at all levels is essential to promote the social change necessary. *States should take urgent and concrete measures to ensure equality between men and women and protect women's human rights |*Sensitize the authorities of each state to respect and implement the laws established by the ONU against female mutilation

PROPOSAL *Listen attentively to all women who have problems.*Do not judge or criticize women who live or who went through this problem.*Provide guidance in finding legal support, medical, social and psychological.*Educating women about their rights and the "Law of violence against women and the family."*Promoting rational sex education and youth who have can generate values.
