  2. For Police response the system MUST be: 1: Installed by an Inspectorate recognised company. 2: Be monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). 3: Be maintained by an Inspectorate recognised installer. (Alarm Inspectorate usually = NACOSS or SSAIB) Are you Inspectorate recognised? Not Inspectorate Recognised Inspectorate Recognised

  3. You need an inspectorate recognised company for this installation, If You heard about our product from an alarm installer you will need your installer to supply and fit the system, we supply trade only. If From another source, (Internet etc..) Look in your telephone directory for NACOSS or SSAIB recognised installers who can assist you or contact FM Electronics who will give you contact details for your nearest installer(s). Return to Main Menu

  4. You require the FM4000 series product How many zones do you require? Up to 8 zones (circuits) Up to 64 zones (circuits) More than 64 zones (circuits)

  5. We do not have a single panel with more than 64 zones, please contact your installation company or Technical Support at FM Electronics on 01594 827070 for further assistance. Return to main menu Back to panel menu

  6. FM4000 8 Zone Control Panel + Fire & Panic zones plus up to 8 set/unset devices (keypads or remote controls in any combination) Dimensions 270mm wide x 155mm tall x 80mm deep approx. Requires a 12V 2.1Ah battery. Our part no. BAT1. Connections required = mains supply, external sounder & communications device (digi, stu etc.) Absolute maximum working range from furthest device to the control panel 100 metres (this is measured in free space.) The actual maximum working range achieved will vary from site to site and signal strength should be checked before installation is commenced. Checking signal strength Exit to Main Menu Devices for this panel

  8. Signal strength can be measured using the control panel, a transmitting device (pir, contact, remote control etc.. (the remote is the easiest) a 12V battery for the control panel and a volt meter. To test the strength, position the panel in it’s proposed location, power up the control panel (just the 12v battery is sufficient) connect a voltmeter with the DC range selected across the two terminals inside the control panel labelled DVM and press the reset switch, just to the right of the connections terminals. The meter should now read 0V. Go to the required location for the furthest device and send a learn signal from the transmitter (or a PA from a remote control.) The panel will now latch the received signal strength from the device at the panel. (Contact Technical Support at FM Electronics on 01594 827070 if further details are required.)
