CulturAAlimentazione and Silos Projects: Fostering Healthy Food Culture at School

This analysis-based project aims to promote a healthy food culture at school by integrating it with typical scholastic subjects. Using Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory, students engage in various activities such as songs, interactive readings, and performances. The project bridges weaker areas by focusing on students' strengths and utilizing their concrete experiences related to food culture. Examples include mountain hikes for bodily-chinaesthetic education, fraction and motor-scooter speed for math, and Verismo literature for Italian literature. The project also incorporates multiple intelligences such as linguistic, existential, intrapersonal, logical-mathematical, spatial, and bodily-kinaesthetic intelligence. With problem-based learning and a focus on student participation, the project encourages active engagement and fosters a positive food culture.
