  3. Cyclotrons The International Conference on Cyclotrons and their Applications (ICCA), note as Cyclotrons, is held every 3 years around the world (Europe, U.S.A., Asia) and reach people from different countries.

  5. Cyclotrons Cyclotrons is generally focused on: • advances in the science and technology of cyclotrons and related accelerators • advances leading to more effective applications of these accelerator systems in other fields. Thanks to Cyclotrons ’04 group

  6. Cyclotrons ‘07 Cyclotrons 07 will take place at the Naxos Beach Hotel in Taormina – Italy, on the sunny first week of October 2007. Cyclotrons 07 will be hosted by INFN – LNS, chaired by Dr. Luciano Calabretta and sponsored by industrial companies.

  11. Cyclotrons ‘07 Taormina is located at the centre of the east coast of Sicily and is the main Sicilian holidays spot, with his beauties and facilities. From Taormina is also simple to reach a lot of natural and cultural interesting places.

Cyclotrons ‘07 - program • As in the past editions, Cyclotrons ‘07 will welcome 200 – 250 attendees and will consist of different oral sessions (invited and contributed) and poster sessions, that will treat various topics as: • Facilities under construction • Operational cyclotrons • Projects and proposals • FFAG accelerators • Ion sources • High intensity beams • Beam dynamics • Systems and technology (magnet, rf, etc.) • Beam diagnostics • Beam technology • Applications of cyclotrons • There will be a large industrial exhibition area. • Tours and excursions will be organized.

LNS The Laboratori Nazionali del Sud is one of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics INFN laboratory, founded in 1976 at Catania, that is undertaken in nuclear and sub nuclear physics research. The construction and operation of a Superconducting Cyclotron, in 1994, combined with previous Tandem accelerator, allowed LNS to improve his research development.

  18. LNS The LNS Superconducting Cyclotron (CS), is a compact strong focusing three-sector machine. Superconducting Cyclotron

  19. LNS The accelerator was originally an HVEC MP Tandem with a nominal maximum voltage of 13 MV. Operations with MP started in 1983. Since then many improvements have been done in order to obtain the present maximum operational voltage of 15 MV and a good reliability. The Tandem charging system is based on the original belt. A new belt was installed at September 2000. Tandem
