  3. Friday, May 27 Odd Day Please Stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

  4. Today will be partly sunny with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning...then mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. The high temperature for today is expected to reach 85 degrees. Winds are out of the south at 5 to 10 mph and the chance of rain is 50 percent. Now here are today’s Birthday people and a few people who were born in the summer a few years ago.

  11. All SSL hours must be turned in along with your reflection form by June 3, 2011 IF you wish credit for hours worked this semester. IF you miss this deadline Then You do not get credit.

  12. The National Junior Honor Society will be pre-selling one dozen Original Glazed Doughnuts at $6.50 and Certificates at $7.00 starting Thursday, May 26, 2011 and ending Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Please see a NJHS member or Ms. Animashaun during lunches to place your order. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Go Passionately Pink for the Cure. Fight for Breast Cancer.

  13. Please contact Mr. Schwartz in the Guidance Office to purchase your yearbook.

  14. Okay. Let’s get serious about summer. Maybe you did not want to commit yourself to one of Parkland's amazing summer camps because you worried that it was too much like school. Maybe you thought that you might have to learn something!

  15. Well you are right. But this is stuff you want to know. Stuff like…. how to edit a wicked video to post on the new Parkland Tube. Or, how to visualize numbers so that you can comprehend planetary orbits. Or, how to actually use that Spanish you struggle with in school to carry on a conversation.

  16. It is not too late but it will be soon. Take another look at summer at Parkland. You just might learn something. Talk to Mrs. King in the main office for more details but act soon before the summer goes away.

  17. Please remember that this holiday is one that you have because our veterans sacrificed their lives and their futures for our freedom.
