  1. Lost and FoundAnne Schraff2007Fiction Y’Dari Hunt/Y.H 6th Period

  2. Setting Some of the settings are Bluford High, the sisters house, and the mountains. In the sisters house it is very fancy and she has nice flowers and nice furniture. The mountains is cold and rug-ed. And the outside of the high school is very huge. The story would be very different if there wasn't a setting because then you wouldn't know where the characters are.

  3. Characters The characters in my book are Darcy, Jamee, Bobby,Copper, Tarah, Mom, Grandma, Aunt, and the Dad. My two main characters are: Jamee The Dad Some physical characteristics about the Dad is that he is very fat now, he had a white beard, barely has hair, and has a lot of wrinkles. Jamee has brown hair and brown eyes and is very active in sports. I think the words that I described them with are good because they are true and when I read the book I could visualize what they looked like.

  4. Conflict The main conflict is when Jamee has a new boyfriend named Bobby, and she really loves him. The problem is that he is making Jamee do bad things like stealing. So that's when Darcy comes in and tries to stop them from dating. But Bobby doesn't like that, so he grabs Jamee and starts beating her up. Later that day Jamee comes home with a black eye, swollen lip, and a bleeding mouth. And this is an man vs. man conflict.

  5. Summary of Plot • Exposition: Characters- Jamee,Darcy,Tarah,Bobby,Mom,Grandma,Aunt,Copper, and the Dad. The setting is Bluford High,Aunts house, and mountains. And the problem is Jamee runs away • Rising Action: A man is following Darcy, Jamee gets into an huge argument with her aunt, and Darcy has to work with a girl she doesn't like. • Climax: Jamee runs away. • Falling Action: Mom is crying and worrying about Jamee, Dad is helping look for Jamee, and they are looking everywhere for Jamee.

  6. Theme The theme of my book is “Running doesn’t solve everything, you can always ask for help if your in trouble”. 1. “Leave me alone Darcy I don’t need your help. You will just make things worse” said Jamee. 2. “Oh no! She’s gone, she packed up everything except the stuff mom got her!!” said Darcy

  7. Point of View The authors point of view is 3rd person. It helps the reader to understand what the characters in the story are thinking and what they are doing. The story would be very different if it was in 1stperson. Because in the book, the wording would be different, and the words that would be used is “I” and “me”. And it would put emphases on how the character feels.

  8. Symbolism I choose this symbol because it shows that my main character Darcy is strong and fierce. Darcy is going through a lot and her sister is missing, also their dad is trying to come back into their lives again. And for an 15 yr. old girl she is very strong.

  9. Recommendation My book was so worth reading. I say that because when I first started the book I couldn’t put it down. I read this book in 1 day. And it was so good and I cant wait to start reading the other books of the Bluford High series.

  10. THE END
