  8. Es una sustancia heterogénea, de color transparente o algo amarillento, que circula por el interior de los vasos linfáticos. Puede considerarse como una mezcla de filtrado capilar y de líquido intersticial que ha penetrado en los capilares linfáticos. La linfa está compuesta por un 90% de agua, sales, glucosa, algunos glóbulos blancos, pocas proteínas, dióxido de carbono, bajas concentraciones de oxígeno y sustancias de desecho celulares.
