  1. HIGHLY COMMENDED – CONGREGATION Ocean Forest Lutheran Fellowship, Dalyellup WA Altar cloths were introduced to Sunday Kids Church to link it to adult worship and to make children aware of the changes in the liturgical year. A set of five altar cloths was made by Erica Krieg.

  2. HIGHLY COMMENDED – CONGREGATION St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sydney NSW Barbara Watson designed and created a set of altar paraments appliquéd with Australian floral motifs. Green fabric was use as a background for the three sanctuary panels and a matching stole.

  3. HIGHLY COMMENDED – CONGREGATION Victor Harbor Lutheran Church, SA The centrepiece of the new sanctuary area is a unique altar made from a 2.2 metre polished red gum tree stump topped with plate glass. It was made by Matthew Parker and Trevor Paech.

  4. HIGHLY COMMENDED – INDIVIDUAL Ian Wurst, St Stephen’s Lutheran Church, SA The font cover symbolises God’s saving work, through baptism, for the whole world. It is constructed of laminated Queensland red cedar, and ornamented with a Huon pine cross and an inlaid dove.

  5. HIGHLY COMMENDED – INDIVIDUAL Rae Kempe, St Stephen’s Lutheran Church, SA Cuttlefish, wired and glued to dry branches, form a 3 metre tall arrangement. It was used as a meditation focus for Ocean Sunday, celebrating one of the wonders of God’s creation.

  6. Plan to be part of the next Visual Arts competition ….. ….. at the next LCA general synod.
