K-12 Schools; VA Hospitals and clinics/veterans services; community programs include serving homeless, after school, and seniors’ • 2. Licensure: on line matrix of requirements by state/ gap • 3. Set a higher base pay expectation: pay influenced by highest payer • Strategy: Partnerships/AASA/VA/M&FC/Com. Agencies • Prepare for the growth: team, office, web, materials, technology systems, capacity to rapidly increase the team: Ambassadors program, Library of vast information on the field, membership database • Public Recognition: Special Nat. Events/PSA’s/ TV/ White House links/ Hill/ Conference courses and Job Fair.

  7. Membership: 1. Expand membership and engagement of members nationwide through increased collaboration. Diversity An interest in art/museums/schools/ An interest in health care/ hospitals & clinics/ community programs/VA 2. Streamline the process of membership management for the Chapters (list & fees): more than 2,200 members of Chapters flow the new national on-line system. 3. Membership value proposition: expand and communicate through Chapters all of the benefits of membership. Need to review membership promotional materials to ensure that Chapters are taking advantage of the national benefits programs.

  17. Children’s Mental Health Day: Art ActionMay 6, 2010 The Association is a key sponsor and program developer. Special national event in partnership with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, SAMHSA Art projects highlighting the ‘feelings’ of children will be produced and celebrated. National media and lots of recognition for art therapist nationwide. Each chapter should create a major local event with local community agency, or k-8 school system.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS Information for Individuals SeekingAmerican Art Therapy Association Office The Nominating Committee seeks interested and qualified nominees for the AATA Board of Directors and Nominating Committee for a 2-year term Treasurer - Three (3) Directors - Two (2) Members of the Nominating Committee (even years) President-Elect – Secretary - Three (3) Directors - Three (3) Members of the Nominating Committee (odd years) To submit your own or a colleague’s name for consideration as a nominee, you’ll need: 1.
