Helpful Hints • Understand the different methods for transferring funds-grants/participating agreements/cooperative agreements/ interagency agreements/inservice authorizations (ISA) • Understand and follow protocols for writing proposals-especially competetive grants. • Reporting requirements may be annually, semi annually or monthly.

  6. Helpful Hints 2 • Final reports- may have a deadline as well. • Requests for extension need to be prepared and submitted at least 60 days prior to closing date.
