  4. Current Processes • Manual attendance reporting • Spreadsheets • Time consuming site processes • HQ collation of information • Swipe cards, key fobs, biometrics, turnstiles • Duplicated effort eg, CSCS • Lack of consistency • Late incident reporting • Accuracy of information?

  6. An Integrated Approach Capture data once, use it many times Remove the need to have information stored in disparate back office systems Everything revolves around the person The key is how to capture the person in the first place!

  8. The obvious way?? Great for a ‘locked down’ site on a long term project? but Not all jobs are like that!!

  9. Integrated mobile turnstile unit a better option? Relocate within existing site or to new sites Totally re-usable and hence more cost effective

  10. Mobile Hardware Solution To capture the information Simply plug it in to the mains, a generator or even the cigarette lighter in a vehicle. No PC’s, phone lines or broadband required on site No additional IT staff or infrastructure required, either on site or in head office

  11. The ‘bus conductor’ Operatives clock in from any location Captured information uploaded to main unit at any convenient time. Deliveries? Non site compound based projects?

  12. Timesheet information captured, stored and viewed anytime

  13. Skills, required certifications, expiry dates, training certificates, documentation centrally stored and available anytime for any site.

  14. Real time visibility of who is on site for locating operatives and for evacuation purposes

Online Incident Reporting Collate all information, including photographs and witness statements Self populating Automatically retrieve validation of skills, inductions, toolbox talks Automatically sent to designated recipients Full history of incidents Was the operative (and witnesses) on site?

In Summary • Capture the information once but use it many times. • Have a consistent approach across all sites. • Take an enterprise view rather than site specific one. • 50% systems but 50% process. • Change the mentality from ‘I’m told to’ to ‘I need to’ but reduce the burden of doing it! • And on a lighter note to finish....................
