  4. Where We’ve Been Since 2014: • Trustee Audit Reports (“TARs”) brought up to current • Consistent welcome packages for new members – Starbucks cards as incentives • Growing membership: • currently 368 members • up from 345 members in 2014

  5. Where We’ve Been • Over 300 signed members in 2014: • currently 338 • up from 282 in 2014 • OPSEU Convention representation: first time ever with three delegates • Pallavi Armoogum • Susan Reynolds • Jeff Billard • Angie Sharma-Lowe (alternate) • Regular monthly meetings with your Local Executive Committee (LEC)

Where We’ve Been • Edvantage • Goodlife – 83 BU members enrolled, 22 dependents • DIP (25% of BU membership) • Ice cream & ideas • Website refresh • Bulletin board • Steward training • Upcoming holiday fest • 2 arbitrations – 1 flex, 1 member-related • Numerous questions & feedback to stewards from BU • Blurbs on positions in the local • Labour council & GTAC

  7. Where We’re Going • More Health & Wellness • More regular communication • Broader engagement with other activists • Semi-annual meetings • More signed members • More engagement • Email blasts • Lunch with your Local

  8. Trustees’ Report • Trustees ensure that: • financial reports provided are accurate • proper documentation has been provided to justify the Local's expenses • Each semi-monthly TAR audited by two trustees; ensures: • Documentation for expenses • Accountability of bookkeeping

  9. Trustees’ Report • Financial transactions reviewed • No issues or concerns to report • Three recommendations: • dollar value of investments • retiree gifts • policy for meal expenses

  10. Treasurer’s Report • Current balance: ≈ $99,000 • Average yearly expenses: ≈ $20,000 • Annual dues rebates: ≈ $22,000 • Monies available for: • Educationals • Conferences

  11. Treasurer’s Report – Budget • Budget required by OPSEU Constitution • In the past: • more revenue than expenditures • consistent review by trustees • Presently: • budget presented to membership • approved by membership (as is, or with changes)
