Attended college at UCLA While attended college, He obtained the following records: • Highest career scoring average: 26.4 • Most career field goals: 943 • Most points in a season: 870 • Highest season scoring average: 29.0 • Most field goals in a season: 346 • Most free throw attempts in a season: 274 • Most points in a single game: 61 • Most field goals in a single game: 26

  4. Professional Career • Joined NBA in 1969 playing for the Milwaukee Bucks • Won the Rookie of the Year award • Named Finals MVP in 1970-1971 season • Traded to LA Lakers in 1975 • Won six MVP awards

  5. Retired at the end of the 1989 season • Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is widely known for his signature move the “skyhook”
