    6. Hardware Checklist Hi Speed Internet Connection Modem Router with 4 port switch PC or Laptop DVR with Cameras and Monitor Cat 5 Cables

    7. Local Network Install Procedure Verify DVR power and camera display Verify Router and Modem are powered and connected to the internet Verify PC/Laptop is powered and has internet access Install Cat5 cable from DVR Ethernet port to available router port

    8. Assign network parameters to DVR compatible with existing network (using Ipconfig and ping commands) Using the PC/Laptop open Internet Explorer and enter DVR IP address and port number (ex. http://192.168.1.150:100)

    9. If prompted to allow active X controls follow procedure on how to make trusted site in Speco Remote Manual section 3.1 (TN series only) Remote view on local Network should now be established

    10. Internet Viewing Procedure Follow Local Network Install Procedure steps 1 thru 8 Open trigger port on router firewall designated in DVR network menu. You must contact your router manufacturer for Tech Support. SPECO DOES NOT PROVIDE ROUTER SUPPORT. 3. Obtain outside public IP address (through router status page or whatismyip.com)

    11. Enter public address with port number into Internet Explorer (ex. http://24.186.90.50:100) Remote view over internet should now be established

    12. Remote View With DDNS Follow steps from Local Network Install Procedure and Internet Viewing Procedure Enable DDNS Configure Host name (IP User Name & Password) Select DDNS port (Default 100) Submit DDNS name (Make Your Own) Remote view via DDNS should now be established (ex. http:(your DDNS name).ddns.iview-ddns.com) PLEASE ESTABLISH INTERNET ACCESS TO THE DVR BEFORE CALLING SPECO FOR DDNS SUPPORT.
