S-Band Waveguide Modifications • Reconfigure S-Band Waveguide for LCLS / HEP Operations • 5 Functional LCLS Systems • L1, BC1, L2, BC2, L3 • Single Design Approach • Top Design Priority • Reroute / Remove S-Band Waveguide & DLWG Structures as per Woodley Note • Establish common form for LCLS Functional Assemblies (Installation DWGS) • Correct & Update Linac Schematics C.E. Rago, SLAC LCLS Linac

Shortened DLWG • Modify Length of 2 Standard DLWG Structures • Previously done for SLC by MFD (Early 80’s) • Design and some control documents have been retrieved. • Fixtures and setups probably lost. • Process Outline • Review, establish, and document RF requirements • Identify DLWG to be modified (RF Test) • Develop an updated manufacturing plan • Manufacture, Assemble, Post Process & Test C.E. Rago, SLAC LCLS Linac
