  18. Why? • Need • New service, need of standarization, efectiveness, assurance • “Business card” • Opportunity • Assurance helps introduce new areas

  19. Why? • “Need of motivation of the employees: they could see the important of their work, the relevance of it for the students, companies and the agents involved” • Customer orientation: A question of “speaking the same language of the companies”” • Strategic issue

How did we motivate people? • “Talking to them about the advantages: • ISO meant they could record the work they were doing (professional manner) • External recognition • Training: Increased their knowledge, they have more training, they increase their employability, ISO can be applied in every sector • Commitment was a crucial factor • Making real the advantages

  21. What’s for? Advantages of the implementation of ISO • Focus on the customer: • with the aim of offering courses directed towards offering the best opportunities for employment to our students and which cover the opinions and criteria from employers and academic sectors. • Implemented integrated work processes • Quality System: continuous enhancement as an essential part, encouraging annual improvements • Decisions based on data in order to guarantee these improvements

Barriers? • Uncertantity, they were not sure what it was and what it meant, so it was a kind of rejection.. • antidote: training • Track down every record they made. • Antidote: computer programmes, automatic processes • fair against new scenaries and burocratization • antidote: simple procedures… and support

  23. Closing up… ISO Certificate is • established and ruled by people • a prize for people, but also a challenge to keep on • a guarantee of delivering a good service • made by the people

  25. To sum up • External recognition • Training • Commitment • Advantages • …Against lost of creativity and innovation: use the tool as a tool, create and recreate the framework • Involve people in every programme, every plan • Recognize and use incentive in the right moments
