  7. practices Attendance Policy: We expect our swimmers to be at most of our practices. Missing an occasional practice is ok; coming to an occasional practice is not. Swimmers who don’t make practice regularly will not develop proper technique or the necessary conditioning to compete at this level, and potentially obstruct others in their lane. Age group coaches will take attendance and report issues to the head coach. Remember: there were swimmers who did not make the team because of limited space…

  8. Practices (cont.) • Pool: • Swimmers should: • come to practice prepared with their caps, goggles (and a spare pair in their bag), etc. • have water bottles with them on deck. • be on deck, ready to swim at least five mins before the practice start time (no being late for hanging out in the lobby or lockerrooms). • use the bathroom before practice, so they don't have their workout interrupted. • shower before entering the pool deck. • If swimmers have fins, bring on deck.

  9. meets • Attendance Policy: • Dual Meets- our team vs. one other team. Usually two hours. Swimmers should stay for entire meet. EVERYONE ATTENDS PLEASE!!!! Declare in TeamUnify (we choose events). No-shows hurt, mess up the lineup and can cost valuable points. • Invitational meets- multiple teams, both boys and girls, usually an all day affair (sometimes three days). Swimmers arrive for check-in and may leave when they are done. Some have qualifying standards. Declare in TeamUnify (you can choose events). • Swimmers should wear their team gear and uniforms at the meet. No other team’s apparel. • Check-in times, warm-up times, directions, parent volunteers, etc will be email out prior to the meet. Thursdays? • Swimmers must arrive on time, or they run the risk of being scratched from the meet. Call a teammate to get a message to the coach if you’re running late.
