  4. Upcoming Events • AMIA TBI/CRI, San Francisco, CA, March 18-22, 2013

  5. Profiles RNS 1.0.3

  6. New Features • Concept Profile Page • MeSH information • Top journals • Publication Profile • Display subject areas

  7. Concept – MeSH Info, Journals

  8. Publication – Subject Areas

  9. Major Bug Fixes • Overview text (line breaks, multiple overviews) • Network details (incorrect properties being queried) • Faculty rank as a search filter and sorting option • Modify search criteria not filling in all fields • Sorting and column selection in search results • Various back links throughout the website broken • Direct2Experts queries showing incorrect counts • Adding too many publications causes timeouts • PubMed disambiguation process failing • Default search weights too different than beta • CSS issues in certain browsers

  10. Performance Enhancements • Revised queries in several database stored procedures to improve performance of jobs. • .NET code now makes better use of caching to reduce the number of RDF requests to the database. • Rather than all RDF always being returned for a profile, properties can be turned on/off as needed. • Some modules have been rewritten to make direct database calls rather than parsing the RDF.

  11. Process Changes • Recombinant by Deloitte will help with releases • Code will be released on GitHub • Code will remain free and use same BSD license • Better tracking of code changes • Trusted groups outside Harvard (e.g., UCSF, Recombinant) will be able to modify code

  12. Future Releases • UCSF – OpenSocial framework and gadgets • Recombinant/Harvard – Import commercial sources of publication data (going beyond biomedicine) • Harvard – Bibliometric/SNA tools and visualizations • Harvard/Others – Personalized recommendations
