  2. Current Efforts • Regional Activities • Environmental Scoping Project • Coordinating Storytelling Training & Evaluation • Distribute Passport to Medical students • Carillion MD students, VCOM DO students, pharmacy students

Current Efforts (cont) • Virginia Activities • Completing regional report with baseline data • Coordinating partner for first Comprehensive State Cancer Conference and launching of the new Cancer Plan - Fall 2008 • Coordinating sponsor for advocacy session, health disparities panel and health literacy for patients and providers • Work with Virginia Cancer Coalition Action Groups • Distribute screening resource guide with early detection & prevention group

Future Efforts • Regional Activities • Participating in HPV survey & data collection • Develop with regional partners strategies for using the storytelling approach • Work with Ky to follow-up and evaluate storytelling training • Follow-up to environmental scoping project • Community/stakeholder risk perception

Future Efforts (cont) • Virginia Activities • Updating Screening Information for providers • Work with survivorship and treatment state action group to develop resource guide • State partners – Senior navigator, ACS • Develop & Distribute web-based resources related to survivorship • Utilize storytelling approach • Supporting formation of new community coalitions • Cancer Registry Advisory Group • Possible use of community newspapers for raising awareness & information
