  3. Answer the Prompt . . . • Prompts will call on you to either respond to a direct question, or to interpret something from the reading. Direct EX. – “How did Lennie react when George scolded him for carrying around a dead mouse?” Interpretation EX. - “Explain the significance of Lennie’s reaction to George when George scolded him for carrying around a dead mouse.” another spectacular MOIO presentation

  4. Answer the Prompt . . . Direct EX. – “How did Lennie react when George scolded him for carrying around a dead mouse?” Interpretation EX. - “Explain the significance of Lennie’s reaction to George when George scolded him for carrying around a dead mouse.” • In either case, your answer should directly address the prompt: Direct EX. - “Lennie reacted by crying. He was upset because George was angry with him the way a child would be upset when a parent is angry with them.” Interpretation EX. – “Lennie’s reaction is significant because it shows his childishness.
