At the Rio Summit it became clear how important the role of tertiary education is Drivers: Green Economy and new frameworks (GDP+) Research and Problem solving Behaviour change (Citizenship) Lack of vision and action at political level

  6. The role of Tertiary Education The consultation questions • 1 - Which supporting mechanisms should government and civil society put in place to enable and strengthen UK delivery of the educational commitments agreed in the Future We Want?

  9. The role of Tertiary Education • support the growth of green jobs to help the almost 1m unemployed young people; • consider a legislative approach that challenges and nudges the sector rather than dictates

The role of Tertiary Education Calling on civil society • To listen to the voice of youth; • NGOs should overcome narrow focused agendas and aim to collaborate on this agenda, with each other, and the formal education sector; • Education sector should collaborate closely with local communities
