Background – SEAP • For Internationally trained physicians who: • Do not have Royal College certification in a primary specialty • Are enrolled as clinical fellows in programs whose content duplicates that of accredited Canadian subspecialty residency programs • On February 21, 2014 the Royal College Council approved a new examination program and Affiliate category for these international physicians who are not eligible for Royal College subspecialty certification 3/5

  4. Royal College SEAP Pilot Program • Phase 1 focused on five subspecialties for Fall 2015: • Maternal-Fetal Medicine • Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine • Nephrology (Adult and Ped) • Neuroradiology • Pediatric Emergency Medicine • Three-phase SEAP implementation: 4/5
