  4. What is the Network Commission? • 11 people responsible for assigned number of locals • The closest European body of AEGEE to locals • Bridging European and Local Level of AEGEE • Mommies and daddies taking care of locals

  5. What we do? • Mentorship project • Twin Antennae • NetCom Times • Network Meetings (17 NWMs in the period Agora Skopje – Agora Enschede) • Support of LTCs/RTCs

  6. Twin Antenna

  7. Introduction • Concept – similar to Twin towns or sister cities (e.g. Trieste & Graz, Austria) • Concept within AEGEE – Encourage AEGEE locals to form a mutual partnership for collaboration to work together, on one or various projects, for defined time period.

  8. Aims of Twin Antenna Project • Connect different parts of the Network by establishing direct contacts between locals • Enhance communication and exchange of best practices and knowledge • Establish partnerships/friendships that are profound, fruitful and sustainable

  9. Why become a twin? • Open a whole new perspective to your local and a new world of exciting opportunities • Seeking new friendships with another antenna in which you have particular interest • Seeking to learn a new exciting culture which is completely different to your antenna

  10. Starting your twinning agreement • Cultural interest, which may lead to cultural exchange trips • Knowledge transfer. • Geographical positioning, e.g. Russian antenna with Spanish antenna • Breaking down language barriers, creating room for language workshops and EDL project collaboration

Town Twinning Measure 2.1 Citizens’ Projects(max 12 months – 100.000€/250.00€) variety of projects of a transnational and cross-sectoral dimension, directly involving citizens, can be supported. Measure 2.2 SupportMeasures(max 12 months – 30.000€ - 100.000€) exchange best practices and to pool experiences.

Youth in Action programme: • Is the EU programme for all young people aged 15 and 28 (in come cases 13 and 30). • Support active European citizenship and tolerance among young Europeans. • Promotes mobility, non-formal learning and intercultural dialog among European youth. • Encourages the inclusion of all young people.
