  3. Summary • Reason for writing is the upbringing of false teachers • Urges readers to protect their faith in God • Reminds them of how God judged sinners in the past • Referenced to Moses and the sexual promiscuity in Sodom and Gomorrah • False teachers are defiling the body of Christ

Summary cont. • False teachers speak evil of heavenly beings • Refers to the archangel Michael refusing to do so with Satan over Moses’ body • They speak arrogantly and are unspiritual • Reminded that Apostles predicted the emergence of false teachers • Urges them to keep in faith, and to pray to the Holy Spirit • Tells them to help others who are in danger of God’s judgment
