Aimee RaeSenior Economist Europe and Central AsiaEconomic and Political Intelligence CentreExport Development Canada • Aimee Rae is a Senior Economist with Export Development Canada’s Economic and Political Intelligence Centre. She is responsible for Russia & CIS as well as Eastern and Southern Europe. In addition to advising EDC business teams and senior management on country risk and international transactions, Ms. Rae provides expert analysis of global economic issues and international business opportunities. She has extensive experience forecasting and analyzing a broad array of currencies and commodities and she now leads EDC’s Global Export Forecast, a comprehensive forward-looking report on all Canadian export sectors. She has served as EDC’s representative at international economic forums like the OECD Country Risk Experts Group and she is a featured instructor for training new staff at EDC. • Prior to joining EDC, Ms. Rae worked as an Economist for a private consulting firm in Ottawa, focusing on long term economic issues in Canada including; environmental and industrial policy, provincial economic development, and econometric modeling. Ms. Rae holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Guelph as well as a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University.
