Why it WorksFor Patrons • User’s love it • Charlie Johnson, Library Media Specialist at Sunset High School wrote, “My father is visually impaired and likes listening to audiobooks on CD.  I would like to get him going on Library2Go, but am wondering if you are: 1) Seeing a particular player that is gaining a preference? and 2) Is there one you've seen that has controls that are more tactile so that he could run it by feel?”   • Daletta Gonzalez, Library Media Teacher at Washington Elementary in Salem wrote, “I've really worked with my teachers to get them using audiobooks with their literature units!” • Laurie Nock, Media Specialist at Dexter McCarty Middle School and Damascus Middle School in Gresham wrote, “I am interested in using audiobooks in my libraries” • I have had some teachers asking about downloadable books for their students with visual or learning issues.  Many of our outreach patrons at McMinnville Public Library use Library2Go.  • CCRLS libraries offer Basic Cards to patrons living outside of a city library service district.  With a free Basic Card patrons are allowed to check out one physical item at a time.  However, they have equal access to Library2Go as a patron with a full access card.  In this way, Library2Go is a great service for rural library patrons.
