  2. Tobacco Facts: Is it really bad? • Tobacco is a leading cause of cancer. • Types of cancer include (but are not limited to): • Lung • Mouth • Esophageal • Pharnyx • Bladder

  3. Tobacco Use: What does it harm? • Tobacco Contains: • Nicotene • Causes addiction. • Carbon Monoxide • Binds to red blood cells and they cannot carry full load of oxygen. • 4,000 Chemicals that are Harmful • Including 200 that are poisonous • 1,690,000 cases of Heart Disease were smokers.

  4. What will it do to you? • Hair • Bad smell and staining • Eyes • Stinging, watering, and blinking more • Nose • Less sense of smell • Skin • Wrinkling • Look older than you really are • Mouth • Smelly Breath • Less tastebuds • Hands • Stained fingers

  5. What it did to me. • My grandma, and my mom’s friends would smoke around me when I was little… • Because of it, I have asthma. • I had to go into the doctor’s office often. • I had to take pills to get rid of my asthma. • I have asthma attacks whenever there is smoke. (Even on the 4th of July) • I still have an inhaler that I have to use.

  6. Health Triangle Physical Affects: -Stained Fingers -Cancer -Death -Heart disease. Social Affects: -No smoking in restaurants -Second hand smoke -People don’t want to smell you Emotional Affects: -More stress -Feel Judged -No control over yourself
