  3. Xcede Printer • A default printer for report generation is able to be set for the practice. • The Xcede practice printer can be superseded at jobstream level.

  4. Change Number of Periods • Reallocate transactions based on date • Journal entry for a single period ledger may not balance once changing the period structure 01/04/2008 Dr 680 Bank $100 31/05/2008 Cr 230 Sales $100

  5. Asset Comparatives • Prior year costs entered as a transaction within the maintenance form • Movement form has a new Comparatives option. • An assets opening balance and depreciation amounts can be viewed and edited. • Comparative Asset transactions such as addition, sale and pool transfers are now available.

  6. Data entry options • User default options are now stored in the Advance database • Allows the settings to be transportable and taken offline regardless of which computer the user is logged into • Practice level default settings

  7. Ledger Type Conversion • Allows the conversion of a ledgers entity type. • JOE security is required to be activated for the use of this function. • Icon within “Ledger Details”. • The benefit of this feature is time saving and retaining history when an entity type is required to be changed. • Email suggestions to aps@aps-advance.co.nz

  8. Xcede reporting options • Options now recorded in Advance database • SUPS controls behaviour of • Enforcing optional financial reporting field • Suppression of updating of screen during report generation • JOE security controls the editing of Xcede results

  9. Office 2007 • Now compatible with Excel 2007 • A conversion tool is provided to upgrade existing sheets • Some differences and minor issues • Where you have customised sheets, please ensure to speak with an APS consultant before converting to Excel 2007 • Upcoming sheet releases will include both Excel2003 Excel2007 files
