KEY STAGE 1 AND KEY STAGE 2 CPD GYMNASTICS COURSE Thursday 27TH March 2014 8:45 – 3:30 £169 + VAT • This Val Sabin Gymnastics course develops and extends your understanding of gymnastics and its basic core principles. It aims to build confidence in your teaching of gymnastics through the delivery of interesting, exciting and inclusive gymnastics lessons. • It is largely a practical course where you will have the opportunity to:- • ● Experience a range of interesting and engaging activities to prepare the bodies and minds of the children you teach. • ● Develop your knowledge and understanding of the core skills and principles of movement. • ● Improve lesson organisation and structure through understanding more about progression, sequences and use of apparatus. • ● Assess and manage safety during gymnastics lessons. • ● Practice “hands-on” specific skill development. • ● Familiarise yourself with the course manual and appreciate how to use it most effectively in planning schemes of work. • ● Assess standards of performance across KS1 & KS2 to help you make judgements about levels of attainment. • ● Create assessment methods to meet Ofsted PE inspection requirements. • The day allows for small group discussions, Q&A sessions with an experienced tutor and opportunity for sharing best practice with other teachers from the area. • FREE VAL SABIN HANDBOOK WITH SESSION PLANS AND SoW Request Booking Form: kevin@sportworksltd.co.uk Delivered at; Roose Primary School North Row Barrow-In-Furness LA13 0HF
