  1. Kindergarten Corner! Weekly News from Mt. View Elementary Kindergarten Classrooms November 1, 2013 Math Notes: Language Arts Notes: This week in GoMath! we finished up Chapter 4 with numbers to 10. The students are getting really good at manipulating those numbers in preparation for our Addition chapter coming up next week. Please remember to sign and return the math tests when they come home! This week we completed Storytown Lesson 8. We learned the letter Dd and the word wall word ‘like’. Please continue to practice the word wall words at home using the flashcards. We are also working on blending sounds together to make words and rhyming words. Extras: • The Halloween party was a hit! The kids had a great time and everything ran smoothly. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers that helped make it so successful! • There will be a Family Turkey Project coming home soon – keep an eye out! Be creative!  • KT, KK and KW are all looking for gently used dress-up clothing for inside recess play (KP needs boy dress up clothes only)! Don’t forget that parent/teacher conferences are the evening of Nov. 6th and all day Nov. 11th. If you have any questions about when your conference is, contact your child’s teacher. *You will receive your child’s report card AT the parent/teacher conference. They will not receive them with the rest of the school. For your calendar: The Kindergarten Christmas Show is scheduled for Thurs, Dec. 19th at 2pm. All are welcome to attend! Teacher Reminders!
