  3. We all love CHOICE so… • You will be asked to rate your “top 3 workshop choices” and preference will be given to students on a first come first serve basis  • So, make sure you get your money and permission form in early to avoid disappointment! • Here are your choices…

  4. DRAMA WORKSHOP Students develop self-confidence, creativity and performance skills while participating in this energetic drama workshop. Theatre professionals introduce fundamental theatre terminology and techniques through exercises and theatre games that focus on movement, improvisation, voice and character development. 25 People Max

  5. SHAKESPEAREAN STEPS Grades 7 - 12Help your students bring Shakespeare to life with this high energy integrated drama and dance workshop. Students will explore themes from grade appropriate Shakespearean plays and through the ideas of characterization and movement, create and choreograph a scene to popular Hip-Hop and R&B music. Shakespearean conflict and how it can be interpreted through dance mediums will be explored. “All the world’s a stage”, your students will be freestylin’ all over it!“Even the most reluctant drama student participated. It was fast paced and the music choices were excellent.” ~ Grade 8 teacher

  6. ANIMATION & THE STORYBOARD Explore the fundamentals of the unique art form of classical animation. By creating wild and zany figures and creatures from their own imagination, students will learn basic drawing skills, the principles of character design and techniques to evoke action and expression. Building on character development, students will learn the basics of storyboarding to combine elements of art and storytelling. 50 people max

  7. CLAY MASK MAKING Learn the fundamentals of hand-building techniques to create a clay mask. Students will explore methods for creating surface texture and for applying additional clay to create volume. Finished masks will be kiln fired and ready for pick-up within three weeks of the workshop. After kiln firing, pieces can be painted with acrylic paints in theclassroom. 25 people

  8. HIP HOP - DON’T STOP! This dynamic dance program introduces students to contemporary dance forms including hip hop, jazz and line dance. Set to popular R&B and Pop music, students learn basic dance skills and choreography. Students will also have an opportunity to develop their own choreographed dance. 50 people max

  9. SCREEN PRINTING Explore screen printing techniques with an experienced printmaker! Students will learn the fundamentals of creating patterns, designs and images using the silkscreen printing method to create a unique print to take home. Finished fabric may be used in a follow-up project at school.*Students must come prepared with a pattern in mind 25 people max

  10. CULTURAL FUSION Celebrate diversity with your students through the art of dance. This workshop will integrate dance combinations from a variety of cultural styles and fuse them together in a choreographed sequence students will perform. The origin and cultural history of each dance form will be explored. 25 MAX
