Trends in funding: Trust funding still available, some report reduced applications Public grant vastly reduced, large and small. More tendering for public services Social investment Payment by results schemes Loan finance
  3. Other factors Localism issues - groups need high quality business plans and finance quickly Council service cutbacks – groups taking over services over time, many areas now with ‘community’ libraries Growth of online fundraising – crowd funding

  4. Pressure on infrastructure: Some end user groups need to be very professional very quickly – some old structures not suitable. The little groups are still there and still need the same help. Many were supported by Councils Less grants mean other sources need exploring – charging, contracts, consultancy

More options in some areas – larger groups have contract & trading potential More pitfalls for the unprepared Still money around for the smaller groups, but they need to be more professional
