  6. That’s where the Key Elements for Stage Three come in… W.H.E.R.E.T.O.

  7. Whereto • W = where are we going • H = hook all students and hold their interest • E = equip students, help them experience the key ideas, and explore the issues • R = provide opportunities to rethink and revise their understandings and work • E = allow students to evaluate their work and its implications • T = be tailored (personalized) to the different needs, interests, abilities of learners • O = be organized to maximize initial and sustained engagement as well as effective learning

  8. Email for course evaluation • You should have received an email to your jhu email account requesting that you complete the course evaluation. • You can complete it anytime, even while we are still in class. • I don’t see results until a couple months after the course and results are anonymous. • On the next slide is a reminder of what our focus was for this course, or should I say enduring understandings.

  9. Next Week • Submit your completed Course Design in the gradebook including a paragraph overview. • Be prepared to share your course design in a gallery walk format. Make it easy to see all three stages at once. Feel free to use poster board, or even printed out powerpoint slides. • Email your Wordle to me by Monday, December 12 at 9 a.m. (reflection)
