  5. Competencies C: B1 Acquire Career Information C:B1.2 Identify personal skills, interests and abilities and relate them to current career choice C:C1 Acquire Knowledge to Achieve Career Goals C:C1.2 Identify personal preferences and interests which influence career choice and success

  6. Essential Questions (EQ) What do I like to do and learn about? (preferences, interests, likes) What am I good at and what do I do well? ( abilities, skills)

  7. Lesson materials list of skills, interests and likes blank puzzle glue scissors highlighters or crayons – 2 colors

  8. Lesson and Activity Students will identify skills, interests, and likes from a list provided, narrow the list to 3 interests or likes and 3 skills, cut them out and glue them onto a My Skills and Interests Puzzle

  9. Assessment Completion of the activity will be the assessment. Was the student able to look closely at him/herself and complete the task? Was the student able to identify skills and interests and understand the connection between them and choosing a career?
