  2. The following two slides will compare the Christmas/New Year Holiday for the last three years. • The Christmas/New Year Holiday is defined as 18 consecutive days beginning on either December 20th or 21st of each year.

  5. The next four slides will compare the Colorado Ski Country STMP over the last three Christmas/New Year Holiday seasons. • The number of reservation slots available are based upon the number of scheduled air carrier operations and forecasted weather at the airport.

  6. STMP Comparisons * During the 2005-06 season, reservations were required between 7:00AM & 8:00PM (13 hours per day). Beginning with the 2006-07 season, reservations were required between 8:00AM & 6:00PM (reduced to 10 hours per day).

Excluding 1/4/08 and 2/20/08, the days with the largest percentage of cancellations or time outs were 12/24 (66.9%) & 12/25 (68.6%). Days with the smallest percentage of cancellations were 12/26 (37.3%), 12/27 (34.8%), & 1/2 (36.1%).

Excluding 1/4/08 and 2/20/08, the days with the largest percentage of cancellations or time outs were 12/25 (66.7%) & 2/14 (65.8%). Days with the smallest percentage of cancellations were 12/28 (44.1%) & 1/1 (37.8%).

  21. Ski STMP Information • The STMP will only be run on the following periods: December 20, 2008-January 5, 2009 & February 12-16, 2009. • Airports included in the program will be ASE ~ Aspen-Pitkin County Airport Sardy Field, EGE ~ Eagle County Regional Airport, and RIL ~ Garfield County Regional Airport. • Users will have to complete a CAPTCHA (or challenge-response) code when initiating a reservation. This will prevent automated systems from taking slots. • Reservations will continue to be available 72 hours in advance of the estimated time of arrival into the airport. Slots must be confirmed between 24hr and 12hrs prior to the slot time or will be cancelled. • The STMP will be updated for additional slots based on the weather and airport conditions at approximately 2300UTC (1600 MST) the afternoon prior to the affected day.
