  3. The different partys of the Northern Ireland Assembly: UUPUlster Unionist Party: they want(ed) a coalition with Great Britain and had been the biggest unionist party in Northern Ireland. Protestants and peaceful. A part of the UUP didn´t want to share the leading of Northern Ireland with catholics. Alliance Party Of Northern Ireland: stood for a coalition with Great Britain,too. But just as long as the majority of the population would want it. On the other hand they could imagine a united Ireland SDLPSocial Democratic And Labour Party: peaceful organisation, whose members would like to have a united Ireland. A republican Ireland.

Northern Ireland Assembly parlament for Northern Ireland, failed in the past, regency from London protestant mijority in the past elected by proportional representation (78 seats)‏ 3rd mai: 1973 law for northern Ireland Assembly 28th june: votes for the Northern Ireland Assembly involved partys: the national interested party SDLP, a part of the UUP and the Alliance Party Of Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland Executive an above party-lines acting government with members from different extractions famous members were: Brian Faulkner: ancient prime minister from Northern Ireland as Chief Executive, Gerry Fitt: the president of the national interested party SDLP as Co-Chief Executive, John Hume as trading minister, Oliver Napier as justice minister

Council of Northern Ireland should help to optimize the negotiations between Northern Ireland and the republic Ireland elected by the Britain prime minister Edward Heath and the Irish Taoiseach Liam Cosgrave two-part Council composed of 1:Council of ministers: 7 ministers of the coalition (UUP, SDLP, Alliance Party Of Northern Ireland)‏ 7 ministers of the Britain Government they should advise and supervise. 2:Consultative Assembly: 30 members of the Northern Ireland Assembly 30 members of the Dáíl Éireann ( parlament of the republican Ireland)‏

Reactions and fail of the agreement 10th december 1973: foundation of the Ulster Army Council, they were afraid of influences from the republican Ireland January 1974: a majority of the UUP wanted to exit from the Northern Ireland Assembly. Faulkner abdicated, Harry West replaced him Parlament-votes in february: the UUUC (United Ulster Unionist Council)‏ won 11 from 12 constituencys. 15th may:general strike which took two weeks,organised by the UWC (Ulster Workers Council)‏ 28th may: Faulkner dismissed and so the Sunningdale Agreement failed.
