  2. What Is OLED? • Organic Light Emitting Diodes • Paper thin organic material that illuminates light with small electric charge. • Organic because the emitting layers are made up of organic compounds. • Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, and others

  3. How Does OLED Work? • Organic chemicals are burned onto thin layers of glass. • Five layers are then sandwiched together. • The molecules react and get “excited” and illuminate!

  4. How is OLED Used Today? • TVs • Monitors • Cell Phone Screens • Lighting

  5. Benefits of OLED • Replace Old TV screens that contain mercury. • Incredibly vibrant, clear, and sharp display! • Clear display from 180º • Thinner then a credit card! • Energy efficient, uses significantly less energy to run • Infinite future possibilities!
