  2. Purpose • Tool to facilitate the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of passive treatment systems • Involve local watershed groups

  3. History • Began development in 2002 • Grove City College Interns • 241 Computer Services • Partner with WPCAMR • Funding AMD Chemistry for Treatment Systems (FACTS) Program • PADEP, BAMR • Snapshot of all publicly-funded PTS

  4. Features • User-friendly • 24/7 access to data • Password-protected • Password needed only to upload data • GIS connected to database • No plug-ins needed to view GIS • Free and Open Source Software (FOSS)

  11. Triggers • Email alert sent to contacts if water quality data above/below predefined values • Example – ph<5 at the effluent of passive system
