  1. Quadrilaterals Objective: Learn to name and classify quadrilaterals.

  2. A quadrilateral is a four sided figure. • We will learn about various types of quadrilaterals. The most common are the rectangle and the square. Then we have parallelograms, rhombuses, and trapezoids. • A parallelogram has 2 pairs of parallel sides and 2 pairs of congruent sides. • A rectangle is like a parallelogram with 4 right angles. The square has 4 right angles and 4 congruent • sides.

  3. Quadrilaterals… • The trapezoid has only one pair of parallel lines. • The rhombus is like a parallelogram with 4 equal (congruent) sides.

  4. When finding the measure of unknown angles… • A sums of all angles in a quadrilateral add up to 3600. • When they ask you to find the missing angle, you must add the 3 angles then subtract them from the total, which is 360 degrees. • So, 131+ 106 + 67 = 304 • Then, 360 – 304= 56odegrees.
