  6. Classroom Procedures -As students walk into class each day, they grab any paper work that is on the welcoming table. -Students are expected to grab a Bellringer sheet every Monday from the welcoming table. -Bellringerswill be due every Friday!

  7. Homework Procedures • -Mr. Baker will collect homework at the start of class on the day it is due. • -If you are absent, you are responsible for checking my website, knowledgebakery.com, to see what was missed. • Be a self-advocate! • www.knowledgebakery.com

  8. HALLWAY PROCEDURES Students will only be issued a hall pass if it is a dire emergency! Students will raise three fingers to indicate they need to use the restroom. When I approve, you will open your personal planner to the appropriate monthly view for me to sign it.

  9. Respect the Environment -All group-project materials (markers, colored pencils, glue, scissors, etc) will be put back to their appropriate location when complete. -This is OUR learning environment, treat it with respect!

  13. Homework • Begin reading chapter 1, check my website for major question of chapter to answer. 1. Distinguish the two concepts of democracy mentioned in the chapter. In what sense does the textbook refer to the US government as democratic? 2. Explain what is meant by political power. What is political power’s relationship with legitimacy and democracy?
