  4. FUNDS RAISED = • Opportunities for extra funds for today’s classrooms • Teacher recognition support • Assistance with dual-credit tuition assistance and AP Test Fees • Scholarships for post-secondary studies for students • Support Suffolk Public Schools • initiatives

  5. Grants Awarded Directly to • Suffolk Public Schools in 2012-2013 • Weekly Readers for 2nd Graders • College and Career Readiness Fair • Books in a Bag • Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Grant

  6. SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE Awarded $13,000 in scholarships in 2013 …

  7. CLASSROOM GRANTS • Awarded over $12,000 in 2012 - 2013 • More than $225,000awarded • over 18 years

  8. TUITION ASSISTANCE • Overall, provided $47,000intuition assistance to students taking dual-credit classes • $6,000 was distributed for 2012-13 school year

  9. EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION • Award $50 to quarterly Star Award winners • Awarded $750 CASH • to City-Wide Teacher of the Year

  10. A total of $64,000 in Giving For 2012 -2013

  15. 2013-14 Initiatives • Continue 2012-13 initiatives & programming • Seek additional funds through new Fundraisers • Increase Instructional Grant spending • Increase Scholarship amounts to $1,500 • Work with PTA on “Watch DOG” program • Seek additional corporate support
