  2. ACT 1 • Scene 1 • There are three witches who appear at the night of thunder and lightning. They are planning to meet with Macbeth. • Scene 2 • The Captain comes back earlier from the battle with the Irish because he is injured, and reports how cruel the battle is to the King Duncan. Ross reports that Norway’s’ king has already surrendered to them. They decide to kill Thane of Cawdor and give the title to Macbeth. • Scene 3 • The three witches meet with Macbeth and Banquo after they are back from victory of the bloody and valiant bravery battle. The three witches predict that Macbeth, “All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, thane of Glamis!” “All hail, Macbeth! Ail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!” “All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!” • Ross and Angus welcome their return, and the King gives Macbeth the title of Thane of Cawdor. 小田 @ www.iloveppt.org

  3. Scene 4Duncan says “To find the mind’s construction in the face. He was gentleman on whom I built an absolute trust.” to reply his son Malcolm about Cawdor’s beg mercy. After meeting with Macbeth and Banquo, Duncan is happy and announces that his son will inherit his crown and be the king.Scene 5In the little, Lady Macbeth knows everything that happened. Unexpectedly, King Duncan is goanna live in their home that night. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth decide to kill Duncan to get the power of controling the country.Scene 6Duncan and Banquo visit Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s castle, they love the castle.Scene7Lady Macbeth thinks her husband is a weak coward because Macbeth is irresolute about whether he should kill Duncan or not. Due to her provocation, Macbeth finally makes up his mind to kill the King and uses the hypocritic face to hide the truth. 小田 @ www.iloveppt.org

  4. ACT 2 • Scene 1 • Duncan has a great night at the castle, he awards a diamond to Lady Macbeth. In the middle of the night, Banquo and Fleance are asleep. • Scene 2 • Lady Macbeth makes the guards of the King drunk, which encourages her to be brave. Macbeth kills the King. He hears that there is a person who is laughing and another person shouting. In short, Macbeth has a guilty conscience that drives him crazy. His wife Lady Macbeth helps to clean up the blood and put the blood on the two guards. • Scene 3 • Because of the effects of alcohol, the blushing, sleepy porter opens the door slowly for Macduff and Lenox with the noise of knocking on the other side of the door. With a cry of “O horror, horror, horror”, Macduff finds out that Duncan has been murdered (2.3.59). Macbeth, Lennox and Lady Macbeth are shocked by the finding. They pray for the King Duncan with sincerity and try to define the real murderer. Duncan’s sons are in fear, which is why Malcolm runs away to England, and Donalbain goes to Ireland. • Scene 4 • Old man says that it is the first time for him to see these different events happen since this is the seventieth year in the world. Duncan’s houses determined rush out of the stall and eat each other’s. Macduff and Ross are talking about the fault of Malcolm, Donalbain, and the bell men. “Thriftless ambition, that will ravin up thine own lives’ means.” 小田 @ www.iloveppt.org

  5. ACT 3 • Scene 1 • Macbeth is going to hold a solemn ceremony to celebrate for himself to become the King. He invites Banquo to come to the party. Before the banquet Banquo is going to ride horse with his son Fleance. Macbeth induces the murders who were enemies of Banquo before to hide on one side of the path preparing to assassinate Banquo and his son. • Scene 2 • "We have scorched the snake, not killed it. She'll close and be herself whilst our poor malice remains in danger of her former tooth." In order not to disappoint his wife or himself for what he has done before, Macbeth designs the killing plan secretly. • Scene 3 • The three murderers have killed Banquo when he is back from house- riding. Half of their plan has failed, because the son Fleance has escaped. Before Banquo dies, he says "O treachery! Fly, good Fleance, fly, fly, fly! Thou mayst revenge- O slave!"to his son. • Scene 4 • Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo during he give the toast in the dinner. Lady Macbeth terminates the banquet because Macbeth has totally lost his mind, "Let the earth hide thee. Thy bones are marrowless; thy blood is cold; thou hast no speculation in those eyes which thou dost glare with." • Scene 5 • The three witches meet with Hecate in a stormy night, who is the goddess of witchcraft. Hecate asks them to prepare charms for him to make Macbeth illusional and “draw him on to his confusion” (3.5.29). • Scene 6 • Lennox walks with another lord at night in Scotland. They blamed on the two mouseketeers who has killed Duncan and on Fleance who has killed his father. There is a message that Macduff goes to England to join Malcolm for the King Edward of England for help. They pray for Macbeth and their country will be saved by Malcolm and Macduff’s actions. 小田 @ www.iloveppt.org
