Techniques of person-centered counseling • Therapist must have unconditional positive regard for client • Deep empathic understanding • Client must perceive acceptance • Techniques involved counselor reflecting feelings of client • Counselor does NOT give advice, information, testing data, or anything that suggests counselor’s ideas.
