  3. Status of work • PT1601 provided versions of TS 17419 and TS 17423 for "comment-only" ballot. Ballot period ended on 3. May 2013. • "Comment-only" ballot provided one editorial comment to TS 17419 from Australia, and 11 comments to TS 17423 from Japan. All of these comments could be resolved. • PT1601 received a technical comment from Marben Products on the ASN.1 module in TS 17423. This comment was resolved. • PT1601 received comments from Orange / France to TS 17423. These comments were discussed. The final conclusion of DT2 was that these comments do not require a change of the document. Feedback will be provided. PT1601 / DT2 report Vienna

  4. Next steps • There are close relations between DT2, DT6, DT7, TC204 WG16 and ETSI, and potentially with other DTs. All DTs are invited to read TS 17419 and TS 17423 in order to avoid late redesigns of their standards. • PT1601 together with DT6 and TC204 WG16 arranges for a technical ad-hoc meeting with ETSI TC ITS in July to resolve a potential conflict of competing standards with a new work item from ETSI was detected. ETSI agreed already to have this meeting. PT1601 / DT2 report Vienna

  5. Next steps • PT1601 will provide final versions of TS 17419 and TS 17423 before the next TC278 plenary meeting. • TS 17423 is considered to be already mature. However an informative annex on "Objectives" and their usage will be added. • TS 17419 needs additional efforts on security issues. • PT1601 will present the final drafts to CEN TC278 WG16 / ISO TC204 WG18 for final comments. There will likely only be a short period for final comments. • PT1601, after having resolved these final comments, will trigger "ballot for publication" for TS 17419 and TS 17423, preferably already before the next TC278 plenary meeting.
