  2. Nagged • To annoy by constant scolding, complaining,or urging. • An annoyed mother nagged at her children.

  3. Figment • Something invented, made up, or fabricated. • The nightmare was just a figment of my imagination.

  4. Reminisce • To recollect and to tell of past experience or events. • The grandparents sat there, reminiscing all afternoon,remembering old times.

  5. Essence • The most important ingredient, the crucial element. • Time is of the essence.

  6. Genuine • Actually being what it seems or is claimed to be. • This is a genuine diamond.

  7. Temptation • Appeal strong to. • I have a temptation for candy.

  8. Aspect • One of the ways in which a subject or situation may be looked at or thought about. • We have to consider all aspects of the situation.

  9. Embedded • Enclose in a surrounding mass. • Happy moments are embedded in my memory.

  10. Resentment • The feeling that one has at being injured or insulted. • Everyone feels resentment when they are injured or insulted.

  11. Vindictiveness • Bearing a grudge; wanting revenge. • A vindictive person is never forgiven.

  12. Occult • Beyond the bounds of ordinary knowledge. • Science is a very occult subject.

  13. Profoundly • Going far deeper than what is easily understood; having or showing great knowledge or understanding • That book talks about some profound subjects.

  14. Miraculously • Marvelous, wonderful. • The girl miraculously won the lottery.

  15. Vulnerable • Capable of being wounded or injured. • The army left vulnerably.

  16. Anecdote • A short account of some interesting incident or event, often humorous or biographical. • The Reader’s Digest has many anecdotes.

  17. Nomination for Favorite Book • A Child Called “It” • This book makes you want to appreciate things you take for granted. • Non-Fiction

  18. Nominate Favorite Author • Lois Duncan • She writes suspenseful books.

  19. Nominate Worst Book of all Time • My Brother Sam is Dead • James and Christopher Collier • The title gave away the end and it was very boring.
